Senior Manager/Associate Director, Sales & Marketing Analytics

The Senior Manager/Associate Director, Sales & Marketing Analytics, is a key member of the team providing analytical support to Commercial functions (Brand Marketing, Marketing Operations, Field Sales Leadership, Data, Analytics & Insights) of a growing commercial organization with three approved products and a portfolio of pipeline product candidates. This position will be an integral, cross-functional partner with a focus on HCP and patient analytics; responsible for developing standardized data processing and analytical solutions that support the development and execution of strategies and tactics. This position will report to the Director, Sales & Marketing Analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Commercial leaders and other stakeholders to address key business needs by developing analytical and reporting solutions utilizing HCP and customer data (including master data, activity data, sales data and claims data). Areas of focus include the following:
    • Manipulate raw claims data, activity data, sales data and other related datasets into usable HCP and patient profiles for reporting and analyses
    • Support the development and enhancement of report automation and other analytics processes
    • Provide clear, actionable insights; communicate implications to stakeholders
    • Develop strategies to test and measure the effectiveness of marketing and field efforts; identify challenges and opportunities; provide actionable insights / recommendations
    • Support business plan development and execution tracking
  • Determine required data sources (internal and external) to address business questions.
  • Add depth to insights by developing a thorough understanding of all key brand commercial dynamics, including disease state, market landscape, product attributes, promotional channels (personal and non-personal), key treatment providers / prescribers and payers.
  • Provide ongoing, high-level strategic consulting to all internal stakeholders to ensure maximum leverage of insights.
  • Manage vendors and data sources used for analyses.
  • Work with peers in the following functions when implementing solutions: Brand Teams; Marketing Operations; Omnichannel; Data, Analytics & Insights; Commercial IT

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements- Sr Manager Level

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, science or quantitative disciplines such as mathematics or statistics required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years in an analytics role. 3+ years of biopharma experience preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Advanced SQL skills required.
  • Experience with Tableau, Python required. Advanced Tableau skills and experience with Dataiku, Snowflake (Snowsight, Snowpark) preferred.
  • Experience working with large datasets and relational databases required.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with statistical computing, data manipulation, exploratory data analysis, data visualization, statistical modeling, regression-type analysis, model interpretation
  • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical data sources such as IQVIA, Symphony Health and specialty pharmacy reported data (referral status, dispense) preferred.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical & marketing data and analytics, including the development of new marketing strategies/tactics based on data-driven insights and experience deploying, supporting & optimizing these solutions in the field preferred.
